Step One – Choose a mobile phone data recovery software To retrieve lost or deleted data from the internal memory of your smartphone, you need to choose the right mobile phone data recovery service. Download the software and install it on your PC or laptop. Step Two – Launch the software Once the installation is successful, launch the software by double clicking on its icon. If you are running Windows 7 and below, the software’s icon should be on the desktop or under programs. For Windows 8 and above, the icon should be on the Start screen or the desktop. Step Three – Connect your smartphone to your PC If you have an Android smartphone, tap on “Settings” then “Applications” followed by “Development/Developer Options” and finally “USB Debugging.” If USB debugging is yet to be activated, tap “About Phone” then tap on “Build Number” 7 times. If done successfully, the menu item “Developer Options/Development” will appear. Now connect your USB data cable to your smartphone and PC. Step Four – Scan your Mobile phone Using your mobile data recovery software, scan your smartphone. A vast majority of mobile phone data recovery software offers two recovery modes: l Quick recovery mode – this option allows you to recover deleted videos, photos, and documents l Deep Scan – this option allows you to restore formatted data or lost files Allow the data recovery software to scan your smartphone. This should take a few minutes. If the process is successful, a new window will open and display the results. Step Five – Preview and Recover your files After scanning is complete, the mobile phone data recovery software will display the results – a list of recovered files. Take a few minutes to preview the files to find those you would like to recover/restore. Mark all files you would like to recover and click “Recover Files.” Make sure the files are restored to your external hard drive and not your memory card or internal ROM of your smartphone.
